Classes

Here at the Waterside we have such an amazing studio offering, with over 100 classes a week there is so much variety and choice. We do know however, that at times it can be confusing selecting the right classes to suit your needs. To help with this the timetable provides class descriptions of each class, along with further information on the app and website to help you; but did you know, you can also access the On Demand section on the app?

The beauty of using the On Demand section allows you to see and physically experience the content of some of our most popular classes, before attending in person-giving you a better idea of what the class might include. It also means you can workout at anytime and anywhere, all you need is access to the app. Additionally, we cover information on classes within our Find Your Fit Social events, which are held on the last Tuesday of every month @7pm and the first Wednesday of every month @1.30pm in the restaurant. Our Find Your Fit team are always on hand to answer any questions like this and provide the information you need to get the most out of your membership.

Body Maintenance with Eraldo 

A rehabilitation based class. Offering members the opportunity to explore efficient and co-ordinated movement, to improve body form and lead to pain free activity.

Instructor 

Eraldo Lesko 

Eraldo has been in fitness for the last 13years and has taught in 3 countries: Greece, the Netherlands and the UK. Eraldo is qualified in Pilates, Aerobics, Spinning, Body Balance, Body Pump and Conditioning. He also works as a Sports Massage Therapist and a fitness Tutor for an education company. Lastly, he is a fitness presenter for the International Fitness Showcase in Blackpool where he gets to teach what he loves to fellow instructors. Fitness is his passion in all of its forms and he tries to stay updated and evolve it as much as he can. 

Barre with Carlotta, Hannah and Kirsty 

This creative workout combines the precision of Pilates, alignment of Yoga and the grace and technique of Ballet. Add to this the strength from sports conditioning and you have all the elements of a typical Barre session.

Instructors 

Carlotta Tocci 

Carlotta is our Assistant Leisure Club Manager here at the Waterside. She has a background in performing arts and has danced since the age of 2 and until recently this was her career. While dancing she always kept herself active and fit and gained her Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training qualification. Fitness and wellbeing has always been her way of living and she is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm and passion with you all. She can’t wait to support you all on your fitness journey, whether you’d like a chat or are in need of any advice, feel free to speak to her.  

Hannah Goulding 

Hannah has been involved in group exercise for over 20 years. She has taught various forms of fitness from Aerobics, Dance, Step, Conditioning and Yoga. Hannah’s role at Waterside is to launch brand new concepts and work on new projects at the club. 

Kirsty Monteith 

Kirsty grew up in Sale Manchester and went on to train as a professional dancer. She travelled the world onboard various cruise lines including Celebrity Cruises, P&O Cruises and Cunard. She progressed onto Dance Captain and then Assistant Choreographer working on shows such as the West End’s ‘Tophat’ and working alongside some of the top choreographers in the business. In between ships, Kirsty trained as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor specialising in Barre, dance and flexibility. Most recently Kirsty went on to study and achieve her Reformer Pilates certification and enjoys teaching this too.  Catch her Wednesdays 10:30am.

Fitball

Fitball includes a variety of toning exercises on an unstable surface which is extremely effective at improving body awareness, posture and balance.

Instructor 

Dawn Sackett 

You will always receive a warm welcome to Dawn’s classes and her job is to help you on your fitness journey whether you are new to fitness or a seasoned exerciser. Dawn teaches a number of classes at the club including Fitball, Aqua, Stretch & Sculpt, Body Conditioning and Low & Tone. Dawn’s advice is don’t be afraid to try new things, not only will your body thank you but your mind will too.
